MoU with IWK to jointly review the billing exercise for the implementation of water supply and sewerage services in Johor.

Ranhill said the joint review was the immediate phase of pursuing the integration of water supply and sewerage services in Johor.

Multi Management and Future Solutions Malaysia: Ranhill Holdings Bhd's (Ranhill) unit, SAJ Holdings Sdn Bhd (SAJ), has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK) to mutually survey the charging exercise for the usage of water supply and sewerage benefits in Johor. 

In a recording to Bursa Malaysia today, Ranhill said the joint survey was the prompt period of seeking after the incorporation of water supply and sewerage benefits in Johor, barring Johor Bahru and Pasir Gudang, which are right now oversaw by the individual city gatherings. 

"The organization's proposed beginning period of the joint charging activity, is to have a consolidated bill fusing the overall water supply tax and sewerage duty rates in a solitary bill, with a concurred expense payable to SAJ by IWK, for each joint bill issued by it," it included.

Then, in a different articulation today, Ranhill president and CEO Tan Sri Hamdan Mohamad said the joint charging activity would concentrate on the arrangement of maintainable, practical and socially mindful water treatment supply and sewerage administrations. 

"As executed in Labuan in March this year, the joint charging won't build charges to consumers."Instead, it will help them better deal with their bills installment through one combined charging," he included. 

SAJ is the sole licensee for water treatment and dispersion in Johor as per the permit issued by the National Water Services Commission Malaysia.
